I've never skated, never even tried it, I was focused on soccer in my youth, however I find myself watching every Andy video out there. I love his approached to life and the respect he has for skateboarding.

I don't watch or care about skateboarding. But I watch Andy, man is gifted

Love this. It's about the feeling and what it mean rather than the tricks. The philosophy. The approach. That is where the importance lies. It would be great to see a video series of people form all different "sports" / past times (I say past time as to me many "alterative" sports are more than sport and not necessarily a sport depending on your approach.) For BMX I think either Taj Mihelich, Joe rich or Tom Dugan would make good subjects.

COVID did one thing positive. Forced us to stop, and think local. This is a clear product of that. For me, I skate and road cycle. I had a five km radius. So I rode as many of those roads as I possibly could, roads I would previously have never visited. Streets never seen. Hills never climbed. It was pretty special.

What a part. Watching this made me think of the Bones Brigade videos from the late 80’s. It felt more like an expression of emotion and creativity than skateboarding - think Ray Barbee in Ban This. That Andy is signed with Powell, the spiritual home of contemporary skateboarding, is a beautiful irony.

The board is his brush, and the world is his canvas.

Look we all know the greats that defined skateboarding, but most of them stayed in their lane, street vs park vs freestyle. No denying he has it all + creative points. Huge congrats and what an awesome part. Like the greats before, Andy will leave a legacy and is an awesome role model for a new gen of skaters & kids.
